The best Chinese takeout in the area. Not the place for you if you’re looking for greasy salty saucy food. I’m 50 and had to stop eating from nearby spots due to health. My lady lets me eat here I do not feel woozy night of or next morning after eating. Keep it up folks! Dined in with my family and saw they added gelato now. I chuckled seeing a Chinese spot offering artisanal ice cream but thought it was really nice! They have guava, mango, coconut (which I got and was REALLY GOOD) and passionfruit and lucuma. Very densely packed for under 5 a pop. Something about a place having ice cream just brightens everything up.
Ordered delivery from this location. They use Doordash. They even sent me an image when they picked up. Ordered General Tso's Checken, an Arizona tea, and crab Rangoon. Delivery was okay but very expensive. Next time, dining in or getting take out. Update - ordered take out and it was great. One, it is cheaper. Two, you don't have to wait for a driver to pick it up and that means when you get the food home it is still fresh and warm. Three, staff was very friendly. Four, nice day to go outside. In the high 50s! Five out of five.

They made sure we were comfortable and helped us choose a few popular dishes from the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Mongolian beef was especially tender, and the crab Rangoon were some of the best I’ve ever had. What I appreciate most is the balance this restaurant strikes: high-quality halal ingredients, traditional Chinese flavors, great service, and very reasonable prices. After waiting and watching for this restaurant to open, my wife and I are glad that the anticipation was worth it. The friendly staff are more than happy to explain anything on the menu, as well as tell you about the history of the restaurant and owner. The menu isn't vast by design, which assures the customer the freshest ingredients in a fast prep time. The restaurant is not huge, but is very clean and well maintained. The restaurant is handicapped accessible and has high chairs available for those bringing children to dine in. With tip, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees totalled 52. This seemed reasonable for the amount of food we received. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken to prepare the food. This restaurant will for sure be a neighborhood staple.
Amazing takeout Chinese restaurant! Coming from LA, I’ve been craving Chinese food that has the same authenticity and flavor from back home, and this spot is definitely it. The Mongolian beef was extremely tender, salty but not too salty, and a large portion for the cheap price. The wonton soup was a light appetizer that was really packed with flavor. Highly recommend

Usually Chinese takeout can be too greasy and salty, with mediocre quality ingredients. Everything we got served at Hunan Cafe was fresh and high quality and not at all too salty or oily! This mom and pop restaurant deserves all the customers, would highly recommend

Additionally, the atmosphere is peaceful, clean, and welcoming. There are a few tables for small groups if you want to eat inside, plates available for sharing meals, and a good selection of drinks.
